We may provide a separate supplemental notice when we collect personal information through the Services, because it will give you further relevant information about that processing.

This notice does not apply to personal information that is collected offline, or through websites or other online services that do not link to this notice.

Information collection and use:

The information we gather generally can be categorized as either anonymous or personally identifiable.

Anonymous (or sometimes referred to as “aggregate”) information is information that cannot be traced back to a specific individual. For example, we know how many times our site and certain portions of our site is visited, but we do not know the names, e-mail addresses or gender of our visitors unless they specifically provide that information. We use this anonymous information to obtain a better understanding of how visitors use our website and to make decisions on how to improve it. Each time a visitor comes to our site, we collect some information in an effort to improve the overall quality of your online experience. We collect the visitor’s domain name (e.g. whether the user is logged on from, etc), referral data (e.g., the address of the last URL a user visited prior to clicking through to our website), and browser and platform type (e.g., a Netscape browser on a Macintosh platform). In addition to collecting these types of information, PRP collects aggregate queries for internal reporting. We also count, track, and aggregate the visitor’s activity into our analysis of general traffic flows at our site (e.g. tracking where traffic comes from, how traffic flows within our site, etc.).

Personally identifiable information is information you provide that lets us know specific facts about you so that we can respond to your requests. Depending on the portion of the website you visit and the information you provide, this information could range from your name, address and ZIP code, which you provide in order to receive information from us about certain services, to specific health information that you provide to us on an admission form. Personal information collected on our site is used only to allow us to fulfill your request for services. For instance, if you use our online physical system to locate a specialist in your area, we use the information you provide to put you in touch with a physician. Similarly, if you complete an admission form that you download from our site and submit it to us, we use the information contained in your admission form for the purposes of admitting you to PRP and to thereafter providing the services your physician prescribes. Or, you may submit personal information to us in response to an employment opportunity. In each case, we use your personal information only for the purpose it is submitted to us, which may include providing it to third parties with whom we have relationships to deliver the information or services you request.



Why We Collect Your Personal Information

The personal information we collect and how we use it, depends on the context of your interactions with PRP and the choices you make. You provide this personal information directly when you submit inquiry forms, subscribe to receive topical materials and newsletters; inquire about our services or capabilities; apply to participate in our clinical research studies as an investigator or study volunteer, or apply for a job with PRP. You may choose not to provide personal information, but in not doing so, we may be unable to complete your request. We collect a certain amount of technical information from our website users about your access and how you interact with the Services. We use this information to improve your experience, and help us to manage and protect the Services.


How We Share Personal Information

  • We do not rent or sell your personal information to anyone.
  • In the course of our business operations and where required, we share your personal information with relevant PRP employees in subsidiary companies within our Group.
  • We also share certain information with service providers that carry out functions or services on our behalf that enable our business operations. This will include our IT applications and systems, website analytic and search engine providers. It also incorporates the protection and securing of our systems and services

Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our Services use cookies (small text files containing a string of alphanumeric characters that we put on your computer) and other similar tracking technologies (like web beacons, tags, and scripts) to provide the Services and to help collect information that we use to administer the Services, to analyze your use of the Services, and to assist with our promotional and marketing efforts.


How to Exercise Your Privacy Rights

We recognize that privacy rights differ across the world. We also understand that the obligations of clinical trials legislation may make the exercise of rights difficult to fulfill, for example, in order to maintain the integrity of clinical trials data.

If you are a patient on a clinical trial, you should contact the Doctor who is treating you at the clinical trial site. Your identity will not be known to PRP as your Doctor encoded enrollment data about you with a random patient number. PRP only has a random patient number. For this reason, we are unable to activate an exercise of rights request from you via this process.

The exercise of rights can be made at any time, free of charge, by submitting a request to the email address or calling our office at 714-799-7799. Our privacy team will review your request and respond to you within a reasonable time frame as required by applicable law.


Your Communication Preferences

You can opt-out of receiving promotional or marketing communications from us at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the email communications we send. If you or your organization are a PRP client or business partner, we will still send you non-promotional communications, like study-related emails.

Where an application that we provide enables you to directly manage your preferences and the personal information you are providing, we will make this readily available to you for you to exercise choice. You can also contact us at any time. The supplemental information notice provided to you for specific Services may provide contact points or instructions on preference election for that Service.


Retention and Deletion of Personal Information

PRP will retain your personal information: for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Privacy Notice and more specifically any supplemental notices relating to individual Services; as necessary to comply with our legal obligations (such as to honor the exercise of rights), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements; or to the extent otherwise permitted by applicable law.

At the end of the retention period, PRP will delete your personal information in a manner designed to ensure that it cannot be reconstructed or read.


The Services within the scope of this Privacy Notice are not designed or directed toward anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are under 13, please do not use the Services or send any personal information about yourself to us.
